What spontaneously comes to mind are the expected massive layoffs plans, that will be announced once the temporary relief measures are no longer extended by the government after September 30th. But the business transformation phase ahead of us, is on a much larger scale.

The switch from off-shoring to near-shoring is gaining momentum. International supply chains are redirected with Central European as well as Mediterranean countries benefiting from new investments.

In parallel, companies are implementing a new way-of-working and have redefined how their teams should collaborate at national and international level.

At Essensys we have experienced strong demand for senior executive expertise in Belgium and France since the beginning of 2021. Initially from boards, where members had come to the conclusion: enough is enough, now is the time for a CEO change.

More recently, the demand for a fresh new look on finance, manufacturing and human resources functions has expanded rapidly.
