Challenges

Gerantis became a solid consolidator in the dispersed real-estate service sector. The integration of acquired companies, simultaneously with the active promotion of ancillary services, increased the complexity of the organization.

In order to build robust financial, controlling and reporting processes, the management called on Essensys to select a senior ad interim CFO for the Gerantis Group.

Solution

Essensys selected among its many senior interim CFO’s the interim manager who fitted best with the company’s culture and working environment, i.e.:

• a fast growing operator,
• with an entrepreneurial management team.

In addition we looked for:

• an interim manager who has a no-nonsense management style,
• able to set up structured reporting systems in a group with many subsidiaries and increasing number of intra-group transactions and
• capable of working with a very active board.

Results

The Essensys ad interim CFO succeeded well in structuring the administrative and financial roles and processes, improving and speeding up the consolidation work and creating a transparent reporting system to the board.

As a result, after 6 months of service the Gerantis board decided – in agreement with Essensys – to offer a direct service agreement to the Essensys ad interim CFO.
