Their brand portfolio encompasses Paulig, Poco Loco, Santa Maria, Risenta and Zanuy and they also develop Customer Brands for major European Retailers. The company has a team of 2.300 people, works in 13 countries and offers great tasting products in more than 60 countries.

Challenges

The previous HR Director left the company at the time when Paulig Belgium had planned the opening of a new factory in the forthcoming months as an extension to the already existing Poco Loco plant. With a difficult and challenging market landscape to hire people (low unemployment market), Paulig was on a business critical path from an HR perspective and asked Essensys to provide a temporary HR Director who could manage this business critical situation and make the transition towards the to be hired permanent HR Director.

Essensys provided a solid and seasoned temporary HR Director who eagerly embraced the challenge.

Our HR interim manager successfully started stabilizing the team and guided the local HR organization during this challenging time. At the end of the assignment, a smooth hand-over and knowledge transfer took place in order to help the new incoming permanent HR Director to be successful and get up to speed.
