Chris Tempels has been associated with Essensys since Octobre 2005 and has become a Partner since 2009. He advises and supports companies, private equity firms,… in the financial and operational restructuring of distressed and underperforming companies and working capital optimizations. He also coaches temporary managers during operational, commercial, finance, ICT, project and program management related assignments.
Prior to Essensys, Chris served as turnaround CFO of BISG, a leading industrial services company which was finally acquired by ISS Industrial Services Group where he successfully coordinated the post-acquisition and integration process. Before that, he worked for 6 years as a CFO for a leading and private equity owned Belgian RTA furniture company.
Chris holds a master degree in economical sciences from the Rijks Universiteit Gent and a post-master degree in accountancy and financial sciences from the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. He started his career in external audit at Grant Thornton where he left after six years to become internal audit and due diligence manager for the US stock quoted concern VF Corporate, working mainly on international assignments.
Chris was also during a period of 3 years member of the Board of the Executive Committee of Febelhout the current Fedustria and is currently still acting as a member of Guberna, the leading Belgian Corporate Governance Institute.
